Statement of Faith

Bring it on, Jesus!
Showers of blessings, hallelujah!

The Church of the Divine Lucre has the most profitable Statement of Faith of any church anywhere.

We believe:

  1. That material wealth is man’s God-given right. “Jesus bore the curse of the law on our behalf. He beat Satan and took away his power. Consequently, there is no reason for you to live under the curse of the law, no reason for you to live in poverty of any kind.” Kenneth Copeland, Laws, p. 51 Historical records that the early church were fishermen, tax collectors, tentmakers and penniless itinerant preachers are to be ignored completely.

Jesus’ statement that “Foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head” (Matthew 8:20) is false: he was actually tremendously rich with a “nice house, a big house—big enough to have company stay the night with Him at the house.” —John Avanzini, Believer’s Voice of Victory, Trinity Broadcasting Network, videotape, January 20, 1991 Definitely ignore AssociatedContent.com’s analysis of Prosperity Gospel’s doctrines.

Ignore the bits in the Bible that talk about not worrying about material riches. Greed is good!

If you’re not rich, you’re not in God’s will.

  2. That physical healing is man’s God-given right. (Matthew 8:17; 1Peter 2:24) Real Christians don’t get sick or suffer in any way. Historical records that the early church were violently persecuted are to be ignored completely. Think positive!

  3. That tithing is a Biblical mandate—giving back to God what is already his. Leviticus 27, Malachi 3:8-12. New Testament doctrine freeing humans from the requirements of the Old Testament Law don’t apply to this part of the Law.

You must tithe ten percent of your gross (pre-tax, pre-deductions) income to a prosperity preacher, or else you are robbing God. You should also make generous donations on top of that. God loves a cheerful giver—and so do we!

  4. Jesus is no longer the only begotten son of God. We are the Word made flesh, just as Jesus was. (Kenneth and Gloria Copeland) You are just as much God as Jesus was. You can “walk as Jesus walked, without any consciousness of inferiority to God or Satan”. E.W. Kenyon“You don’t have a God in you.  You are one.” Kenneth Copeland, The Force of Love, cassette tape.

  5. God is just another being that learned to access the mystical power called “faith”. “God’s Word” is the power God accesses to perform his mighty works of creativity. You can access the same power and do exactly what he can do.

“Man was created in God’s class. … a spirit being, very capable of operating on the same level of faith as God. …This is not theory.  It is fact.  It is spiritual law.  It works every time it is applied correctly.  To imitate God, you must talk like Him and act like Him” Charles Capps, The Tongue – A Creative Force

“What you are saying is exactly what you are getting now. If you are living in poverty and lack and want, change what you are saying. … The powerful force of the spiritual world that creates the circumstances around us is controlled by the words of the mouth.” Kenneth Copeland, Laws, p.98

“What do you need? Start creating it. Start speaking about it. Start speaking it into being. Speak to your billfold. Say, “You big, thick billfold full of money.” Speak to your checkbook. Say, “You, checkbook, you. You’ve never been so prosperous since I owned you. You’re just jammed full of money.” Say to your body, “You’re whole, body! Why, you just function so beautifully and so well. Why, body, you never have any problems. You’re a strong, healthy body.” Or speak to your leg, or speak to your foot, or speak to your neck, or speak to your back. … Speak to your wife, speak to your husband, speak to your circumstances; and speak faith to them to create in them and God will create what you are speaking.”  (Marilyn Hickey, quoted in Hank Hanegraaff’s Christianity in Crisis, p.63)

“If you keep talking sickness and disease, that is what you are going to have, because you are going to create the reality of them with your own mouth. That is a divine law.”  Frederick K. C. Price, Realm, p.29

    Let there be light.

  6. You are God. Benny Hinn, “Our Position In Christ”, tape # AO31190-1 (see ScionofZion.com)

  7. You must stand up to sing. (See LivingWordFaithCentre.net) Why? Some people did it in the Bible sometimes, that’s why.
